About the Project
Creating Opportunities. Transforming Lives. Building Promising Futures.
The @Promise Youth Initiative is a community-driven program established by the Atlanta Police Foundation to help young people overcome challenges, access essential resources, and build brighter futures. Since launching in 2017, the initiative has focused on reducing youth involvement in crime by providing opportunities for education, personal development, mentorship, and positive community engagement.
With more than 2,000 young people formally enrolled and a network of over 30 social service agency partners, @Promise brings together a comprehensive range of support services under one coordinated initiative. Its approach is built around three core pillars: prevention, intervention, and diversion, ensuring that young people receive the right guidance and resources at different stages of their lives.
The initiative offers a wide range of services, including educational assistance, GED preparation, workforce development, individual and group therapy, behavioral health support, arts, music, and after-school enrichment programs.
